What is Dial-up Internet?

A dial-up Internet account allows you to use a computer with a modem and appropriate software to connect to the Internet through Westconnect - an Internet Service Provider (ISP). The software “dials” our ISP access number and you can then send e-mail, browse the World Wide Web or engage in other Internet activities.

Prepaid 50

50 hours online access valid for 12 months - $55.00

Prepaid 100

100 hours online access valid for 12 months - $100.00
Prepaid plans must be purchased in advance and have 12 months validity. Unused time is forfeited. Rates do not include web hosting and are dialup only.

Hardware

Customers will require a dialup modem, these are priced from $49.00 (internal) and $99.00 (external). Most new computers are now pre-built with dialup modems.

Installation

There are no set-up fees for Westconnect dialup accounts. We can set your account up instantly and you will be able to configure your computer yourself by following our simple step-by-step guides. If you would like our technical staff to configure you computer for you, we can provide that is an in-store service for $38.50 or at your home or office for $77.00.

1. Monthly account may only be paid by direct debit from a credit card
2. You must be over 18 years of age to connect to Westconnect Dialup Internet plans
3. Our Standard form of Agreement for Internet Access also applies

XL Dark

Unlimited hours only between 6pm and 6am, any additional hours used outside these limits will be billed monthly at $2.20 /hour. 1000 Mb downloads per month, any additional downloads used will be billed monthly at $0.20 /Mb. No session limit or idle timeout. 1 email account included. Combined mail and web hosting quota of 5 Mb.

XL Professional

Unlimited hours only between 6am and 6pm, any additional hours used outside these limits will be billed monthly at $2.20 /hour. 1000 Mb downloads per month, any additional downloads used will be billed monthly at $0.20 /Mb. Maximum session limit is 5 hours and no idle timeout. 5 email accounts included. Combined mail and web hosting quota of 15 Mb for the first mail account and 5 Mb of mail hosting only on each additional account.
